LtCol Tamás Nagy is the Education Team Leader of the Education & Training Branch from 1st of July, 2018.
Before this position, he had a position in the HUN MoD Defence Staff of the Hungarian Defence Forces, CIS & Information Security Directorate, where he worked between 2014 and 2018, dealing with mainly strategic planning of the HDF cyber capabilities and working on the HDF cyber related E&T and exercise development programme. As a CIS Security Officer of the CIS Security Branch, he was the HUN Representative of EDA PTCD (European Defence Agency, Project Team Cyber Defence) (2015-2018) and the HUN Steering Committee member at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, Tallinn (Estonia), 2016-2017.
Between 2010 and 2014 he served in the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, Tallinn (Estonia), as a Staff Officer of the Training & Doctrine Branch (2010-2012) and later as the Education Team Leader of the Education & Exercise Branch (2013-2014).
He started his service at Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) in 1996, at the IT Institute as a Software developer and software engineer (1996-2000). From 2001 he served at the HDF Signal and IT Command, Budapest (Hungary) as the Head of software development department (2001-2006). Between 2007 and 2010 he worked for the HDF Support Brigade, Budapest (Hungary) as the Chief of Staff (Deputy commander) of the IT Centre of HDF Support Brigade. In this period, he was the HUN Representative of NATO MTFWG (Message Text Format Working Group) in 2006 and 2007, additionally he was the HUN Representative of NATO DMSWG (Database Management Services Working Group) between 2008 and 2010.
LtCol Tamás Nagy graduated from the “JATE” University in 1996 (Szeged, Hungary) as a Software Architect, Mathematician.
