LtCol José Teixeira (Portuguese Army) joined the Centre in January 2018 as an Operations Branch Researcher, his main areas of expertise are Risk Assessment and Risk Management.
LtCol Teixeira graduated from the Portugese Military Academy in 1994 and started his service as a Signals Officer. His previous positions include the Chief of the Portugese Army’s Computer Incident Response Team, the Chief of the Army’s Cyberdefence and Information Assurance Department, and the deputy manager for the NATO Multinational Cyberdefence Education and Training Project.
LtCol José Teixeira has accomplished several cyber security related courses, including Certified Ethical Hacker Course and Cisco Security Course. Currently, he is enrolled in Information Warfare Master’s programme. In the CCDCOE, he is the Course Director for the Cyber Planning at Operational Level Course and leading a team responsible for redesigning this Course. He is also the Operations Branch representative in the Research Project on Cyber Commands’ Handbook, led by the CCDCOE Legal Branch. LtCol Teixeira is married and has 3 sons.
