LtCol Vincent Banse (NLD A) joined the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence team as Strategy Researcher in January 2018. His primary role is to provide subject matter expertise to cyber strategy and policy research products as well as having a leading role in the planning, provisioning and execution of cyber exercises e.g. Cyber Coalition.
From 1987 LtCol Banse served in the Netherlands Signals Corps. His responsibilities until 2012 have been in the field of operational Communication and Information Services. He has held several positions including commander of a Signals Coy and Chief G6 of the 13th Mechanized Brigade. During his career LtCol Banse has been deployed 5 times from Lebanon to Afghanistan and has been posted to NATO positions 4 times. From 2013 onward LtCol Banse has been posted at (inter)national Cyber positions and is civilian and military trained holding certifications a.o. Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Penetration Tester and is a NATO qualified Cyber Professional.
