The publication includes the proceedings of the first interdisciplinary conference organised by the Centre where the topic of cyber conflict was discussed in three parallel tracks (Law & Policy, Concepts & Strategy, Technical Challenges & Solutions).
The goal of the conference was to facilitate an open exchange of ideas, inspire cross-disciplinary research and cooperation, and to help solve the multitude of problems conceerning conflicts in cyberspace. To support this goal, atendees included academic scholars and professionals from industry and government. Keynote speakers included renowned cryptographer Bruce Schneier and former cyber security adviser to the US president, Melissa Hathaway.
The conference was supported by European Union Regional Development Fund, Breaking Point, Microsoft, Netwitness and Skype.
