Assaf Keren is the head of product management of Verint’s Cyber Security division. Prior to joining Verint, he has held the post of Security Director Israel e-Government. During his time there, he was responsible for protecting Israel’s government network, known to be one of the world’s most attacked networks and was responsible for a range of security issues, from application security, infrastructure security, methodologies, incident response and research. Following this post, as the VP of Strategy and Methodology, Assaf has served as a strategic consultant for large enterprises and organizations seeking to efficiently secure their complex network environments.
Automatic Malware Detection in High-speed Backbone Networks
Malware detection on the network is one of the growing areas of research in the Cyber Security world. In this presentation we will review the different aspects of this process. The presentation will review different types of data acquisition methods applicable to high-speed backbone networks and different automation processes for malware detection, including anomaly detection, behavioral analysis, signatures and sandboxing. We will examine the pros and cons and the viability of each method and process for deploying advanced malware detection in high-speed networks.
